Our Lyman Elementary Student-led transition team is dedicated to making military students feel welcome and have all the support
they need. 

A member of our Student-led Transition Team will:

  1. Meet with the student
  2. Give students a tour around campus
  3. Check in weekly
  4. Set students up with a peer mentor
  • A list of Who's Who

We are so happy to have you join our family!

  • Make sure to let us know you are Active Duty when registering at our school.
  • Our School Military Point of Contact will be in touch to meet any of your needs.
  • Our administrators and teachers are always glad to meet with you to ensure your student is set up for success.
  • Our MFLAC (military and famly life counselor) will be in contact, too!
  • Join our PTO to meet some great parents and to assist with events.
  • Our student-led transition team can offer a student-led tour of Lyman Elementary.

For our inaugural event, we had an incredible 84 registered runners (plus a few bonus runners including 2 pups). Between registrations and donations, we raised $1,115 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

CONTACT INFORMATION FOR LOCAL MILITARY SCHOOLS LIAISONS

School liaisons are located at each installation and are the main contact for military families, local school systems and installation leadership for school-related matters pre-K through grade 12. School liaisons are experienced professionals who support, advise and build partnerships with the civilian and military community to help address common education challenges of military families. School liaison support is available at no cost and open to all Defense Department identification card holders, educators who serve military students, and community partners involved with pre-K-12 education.
