Important Reminders from HCSD Transportation Team

(July 28, 2026) – The HCSD Transportation Department is excited to welcome all students to a new school year! Our goal is to provide students with safe and reliable school bus transportation. To help make the first days of school go as smoothly as possible, we want to share a few important reminders:

• We encourage parents to know their child’s bus number prior to the first day of school.
• Only approximate pick-up times are given at the beginning of school. After a few days, arrival times will become more consistent.
• Expect delays in the mornings and afternoons. It will take a few weeks before bus routes reach optimal consistency.
• Bus pick-up locations may be the same for your child as last year.
• Your child’s school is always the first point of contact.

The transportation office is inundated with calls during this time of the school year, and you may have difficulty getting through. While we are eager to assist you, please be aware that, despite our best efforts, we are unable to answer every call. Most basic questions such as bus assignments and arrival times can be answered by school personnel. We look forward to working with you and assisting with your child’s transportation needs.
